CLSW return with their new programme of summer sounds!
Conducted by Alan Duguid, this early evening concert features music from Gershwin, Porter, and Berlioz; including the famous ‘Summertime’ from Porgy and Bess. Alongside other classic jazz pieces and music from the Americas, the programme will also feature ‘Love for Sale’ (with solo trombone) and Piazzolla’s Oblivion (with solo oboe). The programme is lively and eclectic, and there is something for everyone!
The orchestra will be returning once more to St Silas in Pentonville which has hosted concerts by the group since before the pandemic. The venue has been very kind to the group in the past and we are delighted to welcome you there once more for our concert. We would recommend exploring the surrounding areas for some lovely coffee shops and pubs before the concert!
Children and students are very welcome to attend and can take advantage of discounted tickets.
Refreshments (including cake) will be available at the interval.
Please look below to find information on how to find the venue and where to buy tickets. We are currently undergoing an overhaul to our online presence so the linked social media pages might be a bit barren for now. However, do stay tuned for what we hope will be a bright future for the ensemble!
LOCATION
As you can see from the map, the closest tube station is Angel, however you can also go to King’s Cross St Pancras and get a bus from there.
